About brafitguide

Who we are and why this site exists

Most people have never been properly fitted for a bra. They were sized once, years ago, or they guessed, and they have been buying the same number ever since. brafitguide exists to fix that, with clear, practical, jargon-free guidance that helps you understand your own fit and shop with confidence.

Why we built this

Bra sizing is confusing on purpose and by accident. Sizes differ between brands, between countries, and even between styles from the same label, and most of the advice online repeats outdated rules that make the problem worse. We wanted a single place that explains how fit actually works, in plain language, so that a five-minute read and a tape measure can replace years of guessing.

Who writes the guides

Our guides are written and reviewed by an editorial team with a professional background in apparel and activewear design, the discipline of how garments are measured, fitted, and constructed to sit correctly on the body. That fit-and-construction perspective shapes how we explain bands, cups, shape, and comfort throughout the site. We keep our team profile low-key and let the guidance speak for itself, and every guide carries a visible date so you can see when it was last reviewed.

How we research

Each guide is built from established garment-fitting principles and widely accepted sizing practice, then written to be useful in front of a mirror or in a fitting room. We favor clear steps, plain language, and the reasoning behind each recommendation, so you can adapt our advice to your own body rather than following it blindly. When conventions or common questions change, we revisit and correct our guides, and we fix anything a reader flags.

How we stay independent

Our guidance is written to be useful first. The site is supported by advertising and may include links that earn a commission, but that never changes the advice we give. You can read exactly how that works in our disclaimer, and how we handle your data in our privacy policy.

What this site is not

brafitguide offers general guidance on garment fit and comfort. It is not medical advice, and it cannot replace a professional fitting or a conversation with a qualified clinician about pain, skin changes, or other health concerns. If something hurts or changes in a way that worries you, please speak with a professional.
